一、释义不一样
1、used to表示过去的习惯性动作，过去如此，现在不再这样了。常译作“过去常常”。
如：
He used to play basketball when he was young. 他年轻的时候常常打篮球。
There used to be an apple tree here. 过去这儿曾经有棵苹果树。
2、be used to do表示“被用来做某事”。
如：He is used to hard work. 他习惯于艰苦的工作。
二、to的词性不一样
1、used to 其中的 to 是不定式符号，而不是介词，所以其后只接动词原形(不能接动名词)。
如：He used to live in Paris. 他过去一直住在巴黎。
2、be used to 其中的 to 是介词，所以其后要接名词或动名词(不能接动词原形)
如：He is used to looking after himself. 他已习惯于自己照顾自己。
三、句型转换不一样
1、used to do可以直接转换。
2、be used to doing中的be是助动词，所以在进行句型转换时，主要通过be的变化和调整来实现。
如：
肯定句：I am used to drinking coffee during the break at noon.我习惯中午休息时喝咖啡。
否定句：I'm not used to drinking coffee during the break at noon.我不习惯中午休息时喝咖啡。
