Ode to the Sun

In the first hour of the morning, when the world is still,

Thou, the pine Sun, art the only one,

Who with thy light, doth fill the eyes,

And with thy heat, doth warm the breasts.

Thy life is but a spark, which fades away

In the course of nigh, and all is dark,

But with thy light, doth all be bright,

And the world is made to take a flight.

Thy rays, which from the sun do stream

And chase away all dark and dreary,

Doth make the world, with beauty, bright,

And all that's living, feel and see.

Thy light is life, and all is light,

For in thy light, all things do take a flight.
